Well & Septic InspectionsGavin Smith is NC state-certified for septic inspections. When he performs a well and septic inspection, he evaluates and tests the components to ensure each system is functioning properly. As part of a septic inspection, he probes the leach field and performs a visual inspection to make sure there are no past or present signs of effluent bleed-out. In areas where the ground may be soggy or the soil discolored, there may be a blockage in one of the leach field lines. If the riser lid of the tank is accessible, Gavin will open the tank and evaluate the structure and condition inside the tank.
Our inspections meet FHA standards, and we offer water quality testing with our well inspections. FHA requirements for a well include water quality tests for lead, nitrates, nitrites, and coliform bacteria. Our water samples are analyzed by a state-certified lab, and most test results are complete in 2-3 days. When the lab report is ready, you will receive a copy for your records, and if there is bacteria in the water sample taken, the well should be treated and a new sample taken to show clear potency. |
